Living in Presence

Are you sometimes stressed or living on autopilot? Is your mind often too busy, getting caught in the past (what happened / could have been done) ahead... worrying about the future? This causes stress and fragmentation while REAL life takes place in the present moment. Mindfulness can de-stress, assist and connect you to who, where and what you are (doing) in a much more mindful "right here, right now" kind of way with many benefits...

Mindfulness meditation (hideaway)

Why is mindfulness important?

Why do you think?                                                                                                    (Meditation is one thing - mindfulness another)

    Be Mindful

1:  bearing in mind :
2: inclined to be aware :

: to have information (of some kind) in your mind :

 : to understand (something) :

: to have a clear and complete idea of :

                                           "Sometimes a change of perspective
is all it takes to see the light"
  - Dan Brown

We can be mindless or mindful about a lot of things. When we become aware of beliefs and thoughts of limitation, and shift through inquiry to thoughts of discovery, we increase our potential and opportunity for personal strength, growth and expansion...

Mindful break(s)

Can you be still and just be, or does your busy insanity level reach dangerous peaks?

Instead of going through the motions, try to practice a little more mindfulness. In other words, think before you act or make little things into a bigger deal. For example, try to prepare your morning cup thoroughly rather than dump random grounds into the coffeemaker and chug the milk like fuel. Or notice the hot and cold water splash on your skin and smell the soap instead of screaming through the shower. Savor the sunrise, and enjoy the breath of fresh air like a sacred ritual without crushing a cigarette.

It is seriously about mindful thinking...

We can all try to just BE like a kit-kat

  1. In a general context mindfulness is defined as moment-by-moment awareness of thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, characterized mainly by "acceptance" - with attention to thoughts and feelings without judging whether they are right or wrong.

The Juggler (playing with fire)

What is up?
When do you get stressed?

Is it nerve-jangling?
Does your spirit burn?
What to do about the stress?

- Life is not always simple - A juggler has to be mindful. Stress usually occurs when too many things come at us all at once from multiple directions in too short of a time period. The way through this is to focus on what is being created by our actions, rather than on the "having too much to do" aspects of what we are doing. Don't try to accomplish everything all at once; you won't get anything done that way. Learn to prioritize and organize.  By practicing mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and being in the present on a continous basis, we are much better equipped to handle what comes at us.

                                           Stress symptoms

Dizziness                       Sleep disorders                     Stomach aches            Breathing problems

Tics                                   Fatigue                                  Pains                            Headache

Heart palpitations               Insomnia                                   PMS                          Irritability

Anxiety                             Memory loss                       Weight loss              Lack of concentration

One of the most dangerous enemies of a healthy, serene and balanced life is the continuous stress, emotional tension and mental pressure associated with the fast, achievement oriented, materialistic society. When life becomes like a super highway - you are not riding the train back home...

NOTE: Less stress - and good health - do not mean you have to move in circles like a swirling snail, or become madly obsessive and live on sprouts, pine nuts and sterile water. The spiritual component to good health is right thinking and right meditation. >>Sheesh<< Maybe that is why you are here anyway...

Life Quotes

Life is not measured
by the NUMBER of breaths we take
but the MOMENTS that
take our breath away

We do not remember DAYS
We remember the MOMENTS

"We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make the world."

"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."

 - Albert Einstein

What lies behind us and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared to what lies within us
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The music inside (happiness)

Cultivating greater emotional intelligence (EQ) means that you acknowledge that your inner reality is as important as what’s happening outside of yourself. It is the feelings rather than e-motions that color the happy music inside.

The first ingredient
for happiness
is to avoid too much
lenghty meditation on the past

Le premier ingrédient
pour le bonheur
est d'eviter trop
longue méditation sur le passé
- Andre Maurois

   In the global City(s)Pace...

Fiery moving cars
Fast on the highway
Leading into the night

New shopping carts
Unquenchable craving
Every passing day

Pedestrians and pets
Mingling on sidewalk
Scratching the surface

Tanned July flame
Unshakable, thirsting
Falling in a lemonade

Going for thrill rides
Head is under water
Breathing the Subway

Time & life

"And Elohim said, Let there be Lights in the firmament of the Heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for Signs, and for Seasons, and for Days, and Years"
- 14th verse of Genesis

                                                Living in the moment....

The past has passed. The present is present. The future is...not yet.

                                                        In a Time Lapse

Reframing (blue)

                      Why be blue?

                                                        - it is up to you ...
Focus/refocus & see as you choose

Otherwise, you should make things more clear...

Brain plasticity

Your brain is electric and plastic...
it decides how your life is...
(when thinking becomes more than the sum of its parts)
The human brain has an unfathomable huge number of synapses. Each of the one hundred billion neurons may have 7.000 synaptic connections to other neurons. The brain of a three-year-old child
has about 1 quadrillion. How and what we think is highly questionable grey and white matter.

Programming (snippets)

                                                                 Main frame

A snippet is a programming term for a small region of re-usable source code. Ordinarily, these are formally defined operative units to operate machines, but the human genome, thinking processes, behaviors and actions are also subject to certain reuse and redundancy. Unless we reconnect the numbers and bits, rewire or make a reclaim in the app store, how can we get out of the grunge?

Which programs are you on?
